Hi, I have a level 70 retadin and am working the AV to get some extra gear (scaled set). I am a total newb in regards to PvP, so will be mainly focusing on AV to get honor (the others only for thier marks). Is there any tips and tricks I should know to help my team with AV? I have a healing set for when we don\'t have any good healers, but wanted to know if there was anything I should know, boss tips and tricks and such to be of max use to my team. Thanks in advance!|||The only thing you have to know is:

Seriously, bring a shield and a sword. The people will love you if you can tank one of the bosses. You won't be able to tank (whatever the end boss name is), but you should be able to manage some of the other ones.

Only advice i have for you is either spec prot & lrn2tank or spec holy & lrn2heal......

Hehe..... I'm actually really excited to see how the up coming patches are going to effect ret dps. Sorry but as of right now ret is way underpowered. I love seeing world breaker in a pallys hands....it's pretty darn funny.

Battleground damage is a bad judge of actual dps someone can do, and since pally's can basically live forever yeah i would expect a pally to be near the top. I would rather see your actual dps you can put out. Let me ask you this did you gaurd a tower, did you gaurd a grave yard, or did you ever go back to recap. the reason I ask is because if your team played correctly there were probably about 10 people gaurding things that weren't doing any dps while you were trotting along dpsing.|||First, Ret is underpowered. I totally agree with you there.
Second, A retadin cannot live forever. I didn\'t guard, I went with the advance guard to take out all the bosses.
I prefer that because I purely suck at PvP, but I know how to keep on things in PvE so healing and DPS\'ing is much easier. I follow the guys and heal if needed or DPS if we have the healers.|||Quote:

no no...i didn\'t heal that fight (except maybe one self heal or something).
No when we get to the last area, if we don\'t have enough healers i have switched out gear to help keep the tank alive. If we have enough healers, I DPS. Which is what I did in that AV.
