So... is it just me, or does it seem that, in order to see "great" numbers of honor gained vs. time spent playing that you are REQUIRED to be part of a successful premade battleground team?
I've heard that you can still gain "decent" honor for time played/spent in the BGs if you aren't part of a premade, but I, personally, have not experienced this.
If we aren't part of a premade group, or have a premade group on our side, honor gain is typically negligible (maybe upwards of 50-60 honor for 15-30 minutes of play time).
Also.... if you aren't part of a premade group, what can you do to increase honor gained? Is it a matter of just going to where the action is at and blasting away, hoping to receive some honor (though your team is being annihilated), or are there better alternatives?
Advice please. Thank you in advance.|||Premades are not required. Just play in Alterac Valley for extremely good honor returns.|||AV *USED* to be the one to run, to be sure. Sadly, I come across more and more AV premade groups that generate the same effect as what happens in the other BGs.
With 2.4 and the "reintroduction" of "Join as Party" options for AV, this might change somewhat. But... until then, AV still sees the same problems the other BGs do.
For someone who doesn't get into many premades, it is.... frustrating... to say the least.
However... my guild was able to put together a pretty nice EoTS premade group (only missing 2-3 players) and were able to deccimate any groups we encountered. It was quite refreshing to be on the other end of the 2000-0 wins and MUCHO bonus honor by capping the flag at 1800+. Good times last night to be sure.
Our group only fared so-so when running AB though.|||IMO, premades are the BEST way to make honor pre-2.4.
After 2.4, the game length is going to be a bit longer, due to how the marshalls will operate.|||My advice Geboran...Roll horde if you want to win in battlegrounds.|||Quote:

LOL.
I think I would rather see some Horde reroll Alliance and "show us how it's done". :)
I do have Horde on a different server, but they aren't 70 yet so that I can experience what "victory" truly means.|||I feel sorry for all the Allies that loose so often - that sucks for sure, but I never see these great numbers of loses that people talk about. There's good and bad days IMO, but I also play my BGs in the 10pm-2am time slots as I find most of the kids have gone to bed which makes the winning easier IMO.
I've been running premades with my guild on my hunter main, but my mage who is only 66 atm had a 6/8 winning streak in AB on Saturday night and it was all pug . . . it was so nice.
Here's a random player comment from that night:
"This was so easy it was like we were hacking against the horde"

HUH?
(I thought I'd intentionally take it out of context....Yes, I am bored at work, atm.)|||well it seems like my server might be hit quite hard in 2.4.
mainly because when i join a PuG battleground it seems like in whole there are 2 people or so from my server ^^ (earthern Ring)
I only see one thing in trade asking for premades, they've started more mind, so i suppose it might be improved.|||Quote:

I am not bragging or anything like that. I am a Bi-WoW'er.. i have toons on both sides and I can't really define it down to one answer as to why the horde win more often.. but they do.
