AV Poratals....

Well its AV weekend once a again Woot, But I have found a lame new trend in some bg's. Some mage's have been Poping up portals near warlock healthstone jars, and have tricked people out. This is lame and childish, what I want to ask the community, Should mage Portals be disabled in BG's altogether?|||No. Gets rid of the morons.

Anyone who thinks they need to help summon -at the entrance- of AV deserves to get ported back to town.

Anyone who just right clicks at random deserves to get ported back.

What I would like to see is mages planting one of the things at the idlers so some of those get booted too.|||Lol thats true, and you only make that mistake once. If not you should go play checkers.

And yeah some thing should be done about idlers in Av, its no fun when horde gives away free wins. Hell I have I screen shot to prove it, with like 15 horde danceing around a campfire.|||Quote:

You're missing the point, they spam them near the portals for soul wells. There's absolutely nothing moronic about wanting soul wells up near the start of a BG- it's a huge help for the team- just as it is dropping them outside the enemy base before starting to pull warmasters/marshals. The clicking isn't at random, it's an attempt to help the warlock- not to summon other players, but to produce a well, which makes healthstones for players. This is very helpful, and generally done at the start of arena matches too.|||I saw that.

I also know the difference between a green/black portal and a shimmering blue one. If people don't, it's about time they find out.|||Oooo harsh

I've nearly been caught out by it before, you just think you're helping someone out, then before you know it you could be back in Stormwind!

Thing is, these guys just about to fight in the BG get booted, and your side becomes short of some active players. It's not like it even gets rid of the players who go afk|||Which is why I keep telling Mages to drop a portal near the AFK-bots.

Quite a few of them utilise a right-click system... right-clicking a portal will land the bot out of it, with a debuff, with noone attending to get it back to the sign up place again.|||Quote:

One thing I've noticed in av was: in the 50s group 99% of the hordes actualy fight. So we win most. On the other hand in the 60s group as many as half of the hordes sit in the tunnel. And, at least in my server we end up looking a good 95% of the time. I've even wondered if they have some sort of program that signs them on to bgs. Because it must be extremely boring to just sit there and do absolutely nothing all the time.|||Quote:

In that case, it could prove to be very usefull if it worked. Just a shame some people click it by mistake and get kicked out|||Quote:

Lets play join the dots..

Why would you summon a well? you have friends in the BG.

Not always possible for an entire raid to enter? correct.

Why would you want people to portal out? to get more friends into the BG.

Final solution to the moronic pug problem.
