AV Extras - In Case You Didn't Know

So, even though I've been playing for 10 months or so, been through countless BG's and have over 10k in life time kills - I've never once seen an aerial attack in AV . . .

Anyone else experience these things? I've only seen the ground troops and the calvary being called out

This sounds like a lot of fun to do (I'm sure old schoolers have seen it a million times in the old 8hr AV's lol)

I'm wondering if a lot of people even know that you can do these things . . .

You can have these events happen in AV to help your side:

NPC Ground Assault

NPC Cavalry Assault

Can Summon an NPC "Ultimate Unit"

- Horde summon Lokholar the Ice Lord

- Alliance summon Ivus the Forest Lord

NPC Aerial Assault - Droppn' Bombs

Unit Upgrades (to make your factions NPC's harder to kill)

|||Ahh, back in the good ol days when Ivus and Lokholar would be summoned 10+ times each in a 7 hour AV match. Too bad you could kite them to your cave entrance...

The other cool thing was the more things they killed, the bigger they got. After killing 500+ allies, Lok was immensely huge!|||Quote:

Yeah, it looks cool - the NPC is huge!|||And he hadnt even gotten very big there.|||Just for the hell of it i try to get some people together to summon the ice lord sometimes. The reactions of some people are priceless.

"OMG, a giant is attacking, hurry or we won't get honor for the kills!!!" :D|||Keep in mind, everyone that summons needs to be honored with thier faction or it will not work.|||Quote:

Oh god, it's the attack of the Ancient Buddah Spirit Tauren (ABST).

Run for your skin!|||I would be very surprised if enough of the items to summon the elementals are dropped in a single AV these days.

I frequently see the wing commanders making it back into their home bases, but very few defenders ever fight their way through to set them off. I've seen it happen once or twice though.|||Back in the good old days, they were around. All before the Honor system

change.|||Actually saw the Ice Lord summoned the other day. Coming into AV and seeing that was amazing.
