Does this annoy anyone else?

When in Arathi Highlands it really annoys me when running to capture resources that some people capture a resource (for example the farm) then leave for somewhere else. It just seems to me that if you are going to capture a resource then you should guard it unless it is going to be well guarded without you. I don't know why this drives me so crazy but it really does. It's not that I care who captures the resource but capturing a resource is easy its holding it that is hard. Why capture something if you are not going to stay and defend it?|||Well, that's why people play premades...

...and in premades it is the exact opposite.|||Yeah I hear that.

They are doing the weird lets all run in a cricle and take the nodes throughout the entire game instead of hold them . . I hate that.

It seems that they think they're not gonna see any action by playing D - but all of who know wtf is going on, know that you'll see plenty of action at each node unless the opposing team just plain ignores it (that rarely happens).

All the Rambos out there are who make the team loose.|||The reason that people don't hold nodes is the same reason that you see a lack of healers/tanks in pve/pvp content.

Everyone wants to PEW PEW, no one wants to play defense.

Defense wins championships.|||I'm not entirely sure about the action though. I'm often a node defender, and if your team plays well, it can be really boring.|||What you have to do is capture the blacksmith and then have only two or three hold it.

After a few mins you will see the zerg head your way now thats fun.

Yes, most folks dont realize that honor kills don't net you as much honor as healing, or winning for crying out loud. Capping flags, nodes etc... and defending them add bonus honor but a lot of people like to see where they are in damage and killing blows.

Meh, whatever I will get my 10k honor in a weekend and laugh and I will get by healing and by capping nodes and flags.|||yeah it always happen to me, but i was in a match were we had all 5 posts and it went soooo fast!|||Quote:

remember what the italians did to soccer. it is BORING. i dont care if i win or loose or how many honor points i get. i play a game for fun.|||Well I think it's a few things:

1. If you run around like headless chickens and try to cap every resource, you're likely to get into many fights = many kills = a lot of extra honour (on top of the team score).

2. Defending a resource can be boring. I am one of the few players who mostly plays defensively and sometimes when I defend the mine there's like 1 or 2 attacks and that's it for the whole duration of the battle. And yes I know, it can easily make the difference between win or loss.

3. Honour gets more and more important than Marks when you want to get high-end items. So better get as much kills and don't care about winning or losing. It's a bit contraproductive and Blizzard is a bit to blame for that by designing BGs and the reward system this way.

4. Some people suffer the "I must cap the Farm (alliance)/Stables(horde)" syndrome. Even if the other 4 resources are captured by the enemy. It's a disease.

That's about it I think ^^|||Quote:

Noob question here but do you actually get extra honor for healing? Just never noticed it even when I top the healing list ... seem to end up with the same honor as everyone else.
