Ugh, very bad stories from this weekend.

Oh, it was bad for the alliance this weekend in the battlegrounds on my battlegroup, and it was just about entirely self inflicted for once.

The worst story was in AB. After having problems getting someone to help with my ritual of souls (yes, I know you already have a healthstone, the other warlock has two points of Imp HS, I only have one, so you can carry both, two is better than one, right?), I was a few seconds late getting out of the gate.

A minute or two later, and I'm part of an assault on the blacksmith. We kill everything, and everyone mounts up and zergs to the next target. Everyone except me, since I didn't want to leave the BS totally undefended. So I turn around and run back to the flag. Which is red. That's right, these people are in such a rush to find something else to zerg, that no one touched the flag. Such a rush, in fact, that they didn't see the defenders coming back, who had me stunlocked before I could "open" the flag. Now, since the defenders didn't respawn at the BS, I'm assuming that it didn't turn red until the end of the fight, but still.

Then there was the time in EotS that everyone was afraid to grab the flag. Incoming horde group large enough that we weren't going to hold out until one of our usual flag runners got back. So I, the clothie with very little PvP gear, grabbed the flag, and ran, complete with tricky treats and a howl of terror. No, I did not make it, but I got far enough that someone else was able to grab the flag and turn it in, making the best of a bad situation. However, please, people, do NOT put the squishy, undergeared, horribly bad at PvP people in a position where grabbing the flag looks like a good idea.

And then there was the EotS that I came into half way through. The horde had about 1200 points to the alliance's 0. That's right, almost the entire team was sitting around on top of the rock afk. First time I've ever taken a deserter's buff. Not that I minded, by that point, I was quite willing to give up PvP for the day.

So anyone else have bad stories? I'd hate to think that I'm just some kind of curse of stupidity that affects my own team.|||Bad pvp indeed.|||Hmmm... It won't let me edit that message for some reason, tells me the message is too short.

Was just going to say that I haven't done much EotS in the two weeks I've been PvPing, so I'm not sure of the flag drop mechanics, it may have worked because I pulled the attackers out of position and the flag respawned when I died. I couldn't see where I died from the graveyard.|||Quote:

This is speaking in terms of PUGs...

In my BG, AV is the only BG that is won on a regular basis at about 70-75% clip. 20-30% of EotS is won. I have seen three games lost 0-2000. Once I came in over half way through- stayed for the quickie 2 minute mark. AB gets about a 10% winning rate. I have never played WSG.

On my BG, it is pretty much recognized that folks farm honor on AV, thus the win is pretty important in that BG. Considering you can win those at anytime with a kill on Drek, seldom is there any whining and for some reason Alliance seems to have an edge (probably becasue AV is more PvE based).

Just as recognized is that most folks (granted, not all) come to AB and EotS for their marks. It seems folks spam pre-mades for WSG.

The point being is no, you are not a curse. What you saw is not uncommon, for whatever reason one wishes to attribute it to.|||Sounds bad, I feel your pain.

This weekend and yesterday were just...dismal. I had to get 18 more marks of AB for my S1 Chest (otherwise I wouldn't have done AB). Literally, 18 straight losses. By the 15th, I was on the verge of making a premade based purely on letting the horde 5 cap. No one listens at all, no one focuses on the task of the specific battleground at all...just pathetic. It's amazing that someone can go through 60 levels of being able to battleground and still have the "Whatever! Atak lawl mor honer!!!11" mentality.|||Its the other way round in our battlegroup with pugs. WSG is about 50-50, we win AV a lot but lose AB 90% of the time. I haven't played a full AB for months now..|||Quote:

nah....BG's typically being the composition of 10 or more random morons from the public at large always go perfectly.....

It must have been you guys...
|||Oh, I know, it's usually bad, just not THIS bad. My normal win rate in AB is about 25-30% (I've only been in the BGs for 2 weeks, so I can't say whether this is fluke or normal) and higher in EotS, but this weekend was just full of stupidity, as in worse than normal. It's the first time I ever failed to finish an AB daily.|||As alliance, good luck winning anything other than AV dailies, without a lot of luck/horde AFK|||Quote:

Damn... I want to be in your battlegroup! Mine never wins AV now that horde have that massive headstart.
