n00b doing battlegrounds

[:1]Yesterday i did my very first battleground. It was brilliant! Of course because i was new to it, i wasnt 100% sure of the procedure, i knew we had to find the Horde and collect the flags and of course, i never found any flags and was killed NUMEROUS times! but it was still a great laugh.

But does it help your character in any way or is it just a fun experience? Did not know if it was part of your leveling experience or if you gained anything from it.|||Glad you had fun! Quite a lot of players stay away from this side of the game or have had bad experiences and never bothered again. But it can be such amazing fun, especially when played with friends (real life or in game friends) or guildmates, or even solo. You get to meet a lot of the same players and I have made many friends this way and even moved realms to be with them :)

To answer your last question - Yes, you gain honor and tokens which come in handy for item rewards. Also you get achievements for completing certain criteria within the battlegrounds. See in the links where and how to get them as they are too numerous too list here

Two things I will also mention are Twinks and battleground brackets -

Twinks are players that obtain good gear/enchants and are at the high level of the bracket, meaning if you are say....level 31 in Warsong gulch, you will generally be up against level 39 twinks who will cut you to pieces. To at least stand a chance it is better to be at a higher level also. Similar at 80 with already well geared 80's fighting fresh 80's in quest rewards.

I will end my rambling here but say one last thing - have fun and don't mind dieing lots!|||One of my favourite battles that i was ever involved in was the battle of Arathi Highlands where i dueled for many hours against a level 80 gnome.Upon my victory i gathered my Guildmates(a night elve and a noble knight) and proclaimed that if they find themselves riding through green fields with the sun on their face to not be troubled for they are in alessiuum and theyr already dead!haha|||its normal to hug and kiss the BG floor at start.. its part of the growing up. But make sure next time i minimize of time hugging the floor and kill atleast one.
