Should the "Preparation" buff account for Reagents?

[:1](For those of you who don't know. "Preparation" =

"Reduces the power cost of spells and abilities by 100%.")

I see a lot of people asking Mages for "Tables".

Fair enough, they're a great benefit to pretty much every class.

What I don't see, is tables.

Once again that's fair enough because they're not free like certain

other buffs.

Just like "Great Blessings", "Prayer of Fortitude" and "Ritual of Souls"

the table spell requires a reagent in the form of Arcane Powder.

(Two of them actually.)

In my experience... I've NEVER seen Priests, Paladins or Warlocks

refuse Buffing their team-mates because of low reagents.

(This is sounding more and more like a stab at Mages, it's not though :D)

So what I was wonder is... why doesn't the battleground Preparation buff

account for reagents?

Would it really harm the BG's in any way?

If anything I think it'd make them better due to the groups being slightly

more effective.

Maybe Balinda or Galv would fall slightly faster... but hey... they were going

to die anyway right?

Thoughts?

(SIDENOTE: I have a Priest at level 65. Does Shadow still suck for PvP or shall

I continue leveling my Warlock?)|||No. Thems the breaks.|||With my Mage I don’t mind making a cookie table before a BG, the problem is nearly every BG I start people always want it.

10 games in and I’ve potentially used 20 of my Arcane Powder, not to mention it’s also used for the Arcane Brilliance buff.

I would love it to be regent free during the preparation buff, just to save me running back and fourth to the regent vendor.|||and why can I use a shout at the start of a battle but not after a res?|||should definitly count for reagents aswell.|||Quote:

Yeah, that'd be wonderful. I always feel slightly guilty bugging a mage for a table (despite the fact that I'm burning symbols for greater blessings). Not sure why, I just hate asking strangers to burn money on me, I guess -- even if it's not much.|||Although Blizz improved things with the free mana prior to the start of a BG, the truth it is almost impossible to buff everyone before the 2 minutes buzzer goes off and that is if you come in early. I have a shadow priest, mage, lock, and drood that I burn regeants just because of the time factor.

I throw tables, soulwells, and any buff I can throw regardless of the cost of regeants. It benefits the group. I have noticed lately the number of afkrs and recall bots are on the increase again. Perhaps the mage you are hoping for a table from is just unavailable.

I truly wish they would fix the bot and afk problem. I try to report them all but jeez couldnt a quick check at the end of a bg by blizz check healing and dmg stats. Lots of cases these are 0 in both columns and they should not award honor based on that.|||As much as I wish it did work for reagents, i just can't see blizzard making that change. I think it would open them up to new complaints from hunters that still have to pay for arrows while everyone gets off with little to no cost.

@ op. Yes shadow is still very gimped in pvp at the moment. Spriest in ability to kite means melee classes can tear you up. However in AB and AV if you are left unchecked, you are able to wreck opposing teams. Which is why I wear raiding gear whle pvping as shadow.|||Quote:

Auto-report those afkers.|||For some reason, this reminds me of our old BWL raiding days, when Mages would sometimes take advantage of the Burning Adrenaline debuff to instantly create huge amounts of conjured water.
