True arena misery.

I am an arms warrior for PVP and my arena partner is a healadin.

2v2

We both have our PVP boots, belt, bracers and some other misc items. We also have couple peices of the gladiator set each. The rest is raid gear, from T4, kara and higher.

Heres some scenarios that are just miserable

Two warlocks with two felhounds.

Cmon. Both dogs lock up my healadin and one of us dies. I've feared the dogs away. I've tried killing the dogs. I was successful once with killing one warlock, then one dog. But this combo just feels impossible, we lose to it ALL the time. Shes spell locked, cant even bubble sometimes before one of us is dead.

I can kill a warlock in no time. 1700 white auto-attack crits. Close to 3k mortal strikes. Aint hard.

BUT... 2 lock + 2 felhound can kill a pally faster than I can take one...almost pointless to fight

Two mages.

Same story. Both counterspell and lock her while one of us dies. Cant bubble spell locked, cant cleanse and typically, cant move either. Occasionaly we beat this combo but not often.

Warrior, shadow priest

Really sucked. Immediately, she got silenced by the priest, and both doubled me dead. If it isn't me, then its her. same difference. I chose the shadow priest to attack, but in 2 against 1 I didn't last very long at all. With the s-priests bubble I cant kill them as quickly as the two of them can kill one of us together.

Warlock and healadin

That warlock can kill my healer long before I can kill theirs. Cant kill the warlock because then he just gets healed. Fel hunter spell locks my healer anyhow, much more efficiently than an intercept stun or pummel. Loss every time.

Warrior and healadin

Is a pure gear match game of "which healadin dies first". Its terrible. And if the other warrior is mace stun specced with stormherald, ODDS ARE my healer is dying first.

Druid + Anything

Is almost assumed loss. I spend the ENTIRE TIME root, cyc. root, cyc. root, cyc. root, cyc. Can only trinket once, can only cleanse so fast, especially if your healing yourself. Druid + anything is a completely rediculous match, I hate it, It makes me hate them. Seriously. IF BY CHANCE I do get out of both CC and hit the druid, they BEAR up. If by chance I do decent damage to them, they shapeshift OUT OF THE HAMSTRING and run away free. and SOMETIMES, come back with full mana.

What are we honestly doing wrong?

We go to battlegrounds together. mmmmm eots weekend. Its fun. I can fight 2-3 people at once in battlegrounds. And kill them. Healers actually die. My partner stuns people who run for their life. Or she'll cast n get the last hit as they run. LOL. We often walk out with most kills and most heals done. Its almost too easy. Even games we lost this weekend, we topped charts.

Even druids (my arch enemy) die easy in battlegrounds. Little more work / can be annoying but not such a big deal

We get into arena 2v2? Its a JOKE.

Most every arena match is a game where the oponent runs around the square object in the center of the graveyard, up and down around and through. I cant even get a hammy on them. Intercept out of the question... I am often useless, really... as I spend the entire match playing cat and mouse up and down ramps, around pillars, over objects or fighting roots+cyclone spam, while one of us dies.

Then others we know - who dont PVP for anything except their 10 arena games for a weapon or chestpeice, have 1700+ ratings and say "its so easy!"|||so basicaly you have problems with warlocks, mages, druids, paladins, priests and other warriors ? ^^|||post your armories please, or at least tell us give us an idea of things like HP totals and resil totals and what weps your using. Spec would be nice too, although i've yet to see a non 41/20 healadin.

These may just be things you neglected to mention, but heres what i see looking at your description.

1. How good is your paladin at Los abuse? How good are you? if you can't survive for 12 seconds while running around a pillar you may have gear problems. Los also allows you to control the match very effectively. Example: if your paladin runs around a pillar, forcing the felhunter/rogue/warrior etc etc to follow them, you can wack them down with less resistance. Los and positioning are vital, learning more about them is well worth while.

2. You need to learn to work together. hamstring that melee on your Paladin. Help him to survive when possible. He should help you by dropping his HoJ on someone kiting you if possible. BoF makes being kited much, much harder.

3. It seems to me you get kited easily. getting incessantly kited is pointless, you need to do what you can to get close to people. Also, somtimes switching targets for a little is the best course of action. with out help/cooldowns etc You are probably NOT going to be able to catch a good druid, try somthing else.

4. Try to play offensively as a team, you seem to be letting your oponents define how the match goes, this will lead to a loss.

If you wonder why you seem stronger in arenas, its fairly obvious but in arenas people are actually organized, with better gear blah blah blah

Hopefully this helped a little, tell more about gear and your strats and we can improve on this.

At least he's not having problems with Shaman|||Hamstring and LoS are your friends.|||It isnt about <class> its about <scenerio> yet no comment "If a SP has silence" or "if they double felhound"

Honestly.

obvious|||Let them come to you, wait it out, even if it takes 5 mins - it's about advantage and you want it . . . (don't chase them around a pole - fight your desire to chase them and kill them, instead LOS them back and go in a corner or behind a pole and heal / bandage up / clense / etc and wait to go at it again - wait for them to come at you again - if u see them drinking mana [star's lament sold in SW can be used in the Arena] (if they're a mana class) then attack). It messes people up when instead of following them around the pole atacking, you turn and run into the corner away from them as soon as they try (they're like wtf he's running away), they'll often change tactics and throws them off a bit. It's so situational I know, just keep working at it, eventually you'll find a combo attack that works for both of you against a certain match up. We had issues for ever till we got that healing debuff on aimed shot.

Your pally partner needs to be able to switch up on the fly, I'm not aware of all the names of the pally spells, but I've had a warrior walk over both my and my partners ice traps, trinket once then get maybe dispelled/cleansed (some sort of seal) or something out of them, and if he did get trapped up (still not sure how he walked over both b/c he was attacking us at the same time). Heck we've even had pallies bubble the warrior at the last minute and our mana is down and it screws us. The teams that give us the most trouble are the pally / ms warrior combos. It wouldn't be an issue with heals, but we enjoy our 2v2 hunter team and seeing how far the hunters can go.

Good luck though.|||How to beat druids..

Charge at them as soon as they show up (with your Paladin), get judgment of justice on them, keep it up, if the druid trinkets it, HAMMER OF JUSTICE THEM, then recast judgment.

If your Paladin does have to heal.. they need to do it in a bubble.|||LOL , the ones we have trouble with (me rogue , partner Resto Shammy) is the MS warr+pally combo ,we pretty much tears apart most other combos|||Tip: Kill the dogs. Not only do you loosen the load on your healadin, you also gain rage from that to intercept the warlock all around the place. Another advantage: No soul link for them.
