I just turned 42, and I was bored of grinding/questing so I thought to myself, "I'll BG it! I'm sure I would be toooo out lvl'ed there".
In the end, I was. I was the only one there under lvl 48. I died, and died, and died- you get the picture.
Now, I understand why this happens, but my problem is (and I'm curious to see if others have experienced this as well), that when I get to the higher levels where you have an advantage in the BG, my main goal is to level up. at 39 I wasn't thinking "hmm, I should get honour doing BGs", no no no, I was thinking "PONY!!!!!!!!"
Has Blizzard ever thought/talked about making BG's 5 lvl segements? Is this possible? I'm thinking that there may not be enough traffic to get people into them? I don't know if that'd be an issue since I don't play them much.
What are the actual possibilies that Blizzard would and COULD do this?
Any thoughts?
Oh, and why is everyone so mean too? The BGs are a mean and vile place!|||the problem with the 5 level gap, at the lower end it would increase waiting times, plus really in pvp terms the lower brackets blizzard aint that bothered about.
as for everyone being horrible, dunno, you always get a few who make it there lifes mission to insult others|||Quote:

You do have a point.
At level 39, I was thinking: Horsie.
At 49: Surprise Attacks / Crusader Strike
At 59: Fast Horsie!!
At 69: Flying Horsie!!!
But I do agree with Serrat, the queues will be way too long to make it worthwhile.

Im sure a lot of people here will tell you horror stories about the people in the battlegrounds. It does get better at level 70 (where people just want to get through this to get honor), but not much.|||Quote:

IMHO - B/C a lot of those people are kids in their teens that have epeens to stroke along with their RL hormones to deal with. And they think yeling at others will get things to improve but in reality only makes it worse as it lowers morale etc.
I report every single person that curses @ people and makes obscene comments. I don't even say anything like "reported" I don't invest that much into them, I just click and continue. Does it help? I'm not sure, but I've been doing it for about a year now, and if memory serves me, there are certain people that I personally have reported multiple times and I'm sure others have too (some people are incredibly vile) and they don't really say much anymore. So I guess they've received enough warnings to finally mellow out.|||Thanks for the explanation.
In regards to Serrat's comment about the waiting times, is it possible for Blizzard to create more BGs if they did move to 5 lvl slots?
It's not even that I mind dying copious amounts of time being a low lvl BG player, it's that it's so hard to contribute to the team. Basically, in my opinion BG's are only for on the cuff players (i.e. 29/39/49) because you're useless if you're below that.
It would break the game up for me if I was able to actually play the BG between questing. Instead I end up taking a break, or playing an alt and completely ignoring BGs! (which, I'm not blaming Blizzard at all it's my own fault that I rush around :) )
I just think the game would be more....versatile if you could play BGs at any level and have a good chance at competing.
And as for the behaviour- you guys are correct! they must be teens...they're putting people down and swearing..it's embarrassing...BG chat is so ignorable! lol
if reporting does work, I should try it :)|||Another idea would be making BGs only accessible for lvl16-19, 26-29 and so on and make entering a BG at lvl10-15 or 20-25 impossible. Effectively making levels ..6-..9 the BG levels.
People who want to do BGs must level a little bit first then, for their own sake. The queues won't get longer because those people will level a bit first and enter a few days later anyway; if you want to do BGs, you will.
It's not just that you miss some hp (and mana) but also a lot of new (or higher ranks) skills that make you a lot stronger.
And next to that it's simply no fun to 1/2/3-shot a lvl20 with a lvl29 character.|||You should learn how to assist the team. If you're a healer, heal, if rogue, steal the flag, if warrior, charge and run etc. You die because you want to defeat +5 lvl enemy, which you can't do. stick with the team, and you'll be useful. My lvl 70 was killed by two lvl 61 rogues - stunlocked to death in The eye of the Storm. I've seen many *5, *6 healers in the low-level battleground who end up first in healing. Stealth and ranged classes are useful regardless of the level. Just know that the enemy is much strong and don't go for direct confrontation and it will be fun.|||I've always found away around the level differences, as a mage - I just cast spells from distance for a while until someone noticed me and owned me :)
I would normally do things like run into the middle of their group chasing the flag carrier casting AOEs to distract them for a second etc :)
You can still have fun :)
However in AV its a little hard at low levels. I was really excited about my first ever AV, went in to find that every boss resisted every single one of my spells. It was actually pointless me being there :o.
Still now at 56 it rocks :)|||Quote:

I didnt think a 70 could be in the same BG as lower levels in EOTS.
Aren't the brackets 61-69 and then 70?
__________
But like many have said Tikki, jsut keep some range and stay in the groups. If you're sitting drinking and the group moves before you're done . . . move with them anyways as a rogue may almost be behind you. I know I try to one shot lowbies on my level 29 rogue semi-twink.|||Quote:

The problem ain't the lack of BGs. It's the lack of Players.
They'd have to merge battlegroups, which would mean the upper echelons becoming bogged down in some cases (ie. very active pvp battle groups).
