Druid Build for Battlegrounds

[:1]I have a level 21 Troll Druid and it or I suck in battlegrounds. Probably both. I have like two questions needed to be answered...

1. What talent tree should I use for battlegrounds?

2. I think it's me that sucks but I'm not sure. What strategies do you suggest? For getting the flag and killing enemies.

I hope you can answer my questions. Thank you.

-Cojo|||Since you're talking about 'getting the flag' I assume you're playing Warsong Gulch.

Why do you say that you suck at it? Because you're not in the top rankings? That may be because many other players have better gear (heirlooms, enchantments on gear), and because as a flag runner you by definition do less damage (but you play a big part in winning the game).

Or do you just get killed a lot? It's part of the game and not a big deal.

Whichever talent spec you choose, you just need to keep practicing to get better.

This means that you can pretty much do PvP in any talent spec (perhaps except for feral-bear). For WSG it's probably Feral-Cat that's most useful, but for other BGs you probably want elemental or balance.

Concerning WSG strategies. First you have to understand that unless you have a guild that plays with you, it's almost impossible to follow any kind of strategy. So try to understand early in the game which other players are serious and see how you can help them. For example, if there's a good Hunter you may want to become his healer. If there's a good Rogue (who tries to get flags) suggest to go for the enemy flag together (both sneak him, he grabs flag while you heal).

As a Druid though you're the best class to run flags. Sneak in in Cat form, switch to Bear when attacked, switch to Travel form when outside, and cast a heal-over-time to recover health while you're running. So focus on this.

There are some advanced WSG strategies on the internet. This one is the most extensive one that I've found, though I'm not sure if the tactics work because I've never managed to find a good-enough team. But also look for example at Wowpedia/WSG. And look at PvP guides (also at WoWpedia) to understand how you should handle individual enemies.|||1 : All trees have their good sides. I think druid healers are among the best healers for BG's, but bears can make good flag carriers and boomkins can do insane damage.

2 : Strategy : stick with a group. Help them where you can. Never go out alone. Stick with the group that is doing objectives to win the match, not with the group camping the middle of the battleground and just trying to kill enemies. Protect your healers. Protect the flag carrier. You have roots, if you see somebody atacking your healer or flag carrier, root them. Heal your teammates. Think about the battleground objective, not about your persoonal kill statistic.|||I agree. Never go out alone. The only time I did (Rogue) was when I snuck away from the battle and was after the flag. I'd usually try to sneak in and wait for an opening and then run out with it like a bat out of hell.

Your best bet at success any you look at it is to be with a guild or group that has some sort of strategy otherwise, ou're doomed to the PuG "bull rush" type strategy. This will almost always fail against a group that is working together.|||Quote:

I would say: ... unless you're a rogue or druid. You still prefer to be with others, but if they're not cooperating you can do a lot by yourself.
