how is Honor Gained in WSG and AB?

gives all the details, including how it being the holiday weekend for a particular BG affects the way honor is handed out.

Basically there's honor for capping (nodes/flags and such), honor for HKs (honorable kills - you just need to be in the vicinity of someone killing a member of the other faction to get credit for an HK), and bonus honor for winning. And of course even more bonus honor if your team wins and it's the daily BG, and even more bonus honor if it's the holiday weekend for that particular BG.|||It's really hard for Alliance in my battlegroup to get rep in WSG. The only way you get rep is by capping flags (unlike the other battlegrounds, where you get rep and honor for much lesser accomplishments). It's virtually impossible to find a premade for WSG anymore, and pugs get rolled most of the time. A good Alliance team is a rare treat.

I calculated that at the pace I've been getting WSG rep with my 70, it is impossible for me to get to exalted, not unless WoW's still going when I am an AARP member.|||It's extremely difficult to grind BG reputation (other than AV) nowadays. Pre-1.12, the primary source for it were token hand-in quests, which have been removed since then.|||I aplogize for the newbish question but I couldn't seem to find this specific question answered even after trying to search - when you get the bonus honor points at the end of a BG, does the number of enemy players you kill during the BG add into the bonus honor points awarded at the end at all? or is that all just from BG objectives and stuff? I've noticed a lot of people complaining about players who care more about getting hk's than objectives and I want to avoid being one of those people. Are they getting more bonus honor when the BG ends this way or something?|||Quote:

If you are near someone who gets killed, you will notice in your combat chat a line that estimates how much honor it was worth. You also get some credit for killing blows, but it's not anything close to what you can make by getting team bonus honor. People who chase hk's do it to polish their epeens.
