Quests at AV

I've been doing more BGs lately (lvl 70 hunter, didn't do BGs until recently) and I notice that there's a few quests in AV that aren't pvp, they're like regular quests. Am I supposed to go AWOL from the others and pursue these quests on my own? Seems like leaving my comrades to fight and die while I follow my own ambitions would be treasonous. Then suppose I'm about to complete the quest and the battle is over? Not sure how these non-pvp quests fit with the nature of the battleground. What should I do?|||Quote:

If you're refering to the quests one gets north of tm (assuming you're horde btw. I'm not exactly sure where alliance gets the equivalent type of quests is)? One can do them while playing since, one is to capture a gy, the other a mine, and a tower. So they're perfectly doable while you help your team win that battleground.

When taking the mine just remember to take the lower entrance in. Its a much shorter walk to the guy you need to kill.|||I'm drawing a blank on what these are.....You aren't talking about the Daily BG quest obviously....

Can you name them?|||It depends on what quests you are doing. Some are assulting mines/bunkers/towers and they are good for the raids.

"Proving Grounds" is the quest rewarding the trinket to harth back to the base.



"Empty Stables" is kind of nothing to do with the raid so I did not do it.|||Yes, I know about the pvp quests. I'm Alliance by the way. The 2 Altarac quests I have are "Proving Grounds" and "Empty Stables"...I got them just outside the entrance to AV in Arathi Highlands from a dwarf. Now I see that irogue really answered my question. But with 'Proving Grounds' I would have to ignore the battle and go into the caves battling the harpies. Don't know whether hearthing back to base is that useful. Hmmm.|||Quote:

The reward item from Proving Grounds will level up to an epic item if you are exalted with Stormpike (I assume). It is useful when you want to go back to the base to defend or turn in the Armor Scraps. It also has some good stats for a new 70 ppl.

It takes about 10 min to finish the quest if you know where the the banner is.|||Thanx. I got the trinket, it wasn't that hard and it does appreciate in value.
