wth happend to BG's/World PvP???

hey guys. i play on one of the largest and well known pvp servers, Burning Blade. pre-tbc it seemed there were hundreds of pvp honor guilds(that did world pvp and bg's) and mabey 5 or 10 endgame raiding guilds. now(after-tbc) all there is is about 30% of ppl doing arena,30% of ppl in endgame raiding guilds doing arena in there spare time, 30% of endgame raiding guilds just raiding, no pvp, and 10% of world/bg pvp guilds.

so im wondering, what the hell happend?

imo blizz ****ed up royaly with making arenas = /.

but the honor system is alot better now. i remeber the longass grind of playing 14-18 hrs a day 6 days a week to get to GM...yeah that was a pain

but i miss the old premade ab's/wsg's and once we had enough ppl on for a pre made AV...boy that was fun lol.

but is anyone else like this? wanting to see more bg/world pvp action and less endgame raids and arena crap??(btw im talking to ppl on pvp servers, pve i know the response would be " NO! i like my mt hyjal and BT!")|||There's not as much world pvp as there was pre tbc imo as well - which is why you see more high level opposite factions in lowbie town trying to flush out some higher levels. You have to go looking for it a lot more now.|||It’s not blizzard’s fault for creating something that people enjoy doing. If the guilds stopped doing world PvP, and started doing Arenas, it’s because it’s fun.

I, for one, think that the Arena is one of the best things Blizz ever brought out. For once we have PvP battles where skill (instead of time) is the major focus.|||skill? How do you figure... fears and dots dominate the Arena. Shoot some classes like Shammies can't use some of their best skills because anything on a 10 min timer or greater can't be used|||Quote:

There are Shamans in the top arena teams. There are Shamans without Warlock partners in the top arena teams. How do you think they did it? They had gear and skill.

Sure, it's easier for some classes than it is for others, but that doesn't change the fact that you need skill (and gear - but most people have the gear) to get a high rating.|||Quote:

Hmm, haven't you changed your tune a bit? I think I remember you being really quite miffed at them before- got the hang of your pally in PvP or enjoying the rogue a bit too much? :)|||Quote:

Enjoying the Rogue a bit too much. Slicing through mages is great fun

But my Paladin still can't kill anything on its own, and I do need constant baby-sitting (which is quite frustrating). That doesn't change the fact that both me and my partner need skill to get a high rating.|||Quote:

Yay for changes of pace :-) Glad you're enjoying it.|||Quote:

If you had qualified that with "and manadrains" and "but only in 2v2" you'd be right. As is I just think you don't know what the **** you're on about.|||Arena has slowly killed the fun for World PvP, because everyone is hunting them epics - and since there is no big rewards for doing world pvp objectives noones tends to spend their time having fun - right?

But also, arena was a breath of fresh air for many, a nice idea by blizzard - I must say - I just dont know where they went wrong.
