[:1]I just cannot seem to get the hang of leaving the start point in EotS without falling and suffering damage.. wondering if anybody else is having this problem and/or if anybody can offer advice.
Rogues can have a glyph of safe fall, but as a paladin I cannot have that. I have used 'follow' to try and find the correct route off, but don't really like to do that certainly not as a long-term solution.
thanks if you can help or advise.|||There is an interim rock about halfway down you bounce off of.|||Quote:

Many thanks for a nice fast response. I have seen that rock, I will try harder to negotiate it without pain, and let you know how I go.
:-)|||make a sideway jump to rock so u don't miss it. I know how u will, fighting with damage HP. But its a matter of trial and error.
so.. Try and try until u succeed!|||Thanks Hitmehard.. yes you are right, there is definitely a technique for landing on that 2nd rock.. played 12 games last night (holiday bonus).. and only missed it twice!
Mind you, that was without a mount, I seem to be able to run slowly enough but with the horse I just jump straight over the top in any direction. And I know now that it is not a problem only I have, there was quite a bit of discussion in the preparation area - some thought the crusader aura was causing problems with mount speed?
I will start practising mounted next. Thanks again to all.|||Its always hard when a pally's put crusader aura on you all.|||Most of the time in Eots I'll jump about 2/3rd's the way through the starting rock.. It allows you to land on the 2nd level rock with ease, and you can just walk off the 2nd level rock or jump without worry of damage.|||I just bubble down - its reset before i need it again anyway|||Quote:

When I saw the topic title.. that was the first thing I thought of.... Get your pala's to take crusader off! xD
If you're an Engineer... Don't bother with a mount. Get the TBC rocket boots (faster than the higher level tinker rocket boots)...
/cast rocket boots when game starts... Jump..
/cast parachute cloak
You can line yourself up to land on any of the 2 bases closest to you. And it's also very easy to land right ON top of the flag from the start (takes a couple of goes to get the hang of it).
If none of those are an option. Slow it down a bit, instead of going straight forward, turn to the right as you make the first drop and you'll land on the ledge.... forward a bit, then right again onto the ground level. You'll land on a nice incline and not take any damage.|||I jump and race others to the healing buff in the towers :)
