[:1]Hi,
I was thinking recently that it would be nice if there were more Battlegrounds in the game. 4 is a bit lame since they're about the only place you can PvP at any level and have a good time doing it. From my experience, enjoyable world PvP just does not exist unless you're max level.
Try world PvP at 29... you having fun for 2 minutes until some ticked-off player get 10 level 70s from their guild to wipeout the entire region of your faction. What's that about? Sometimes I think they should just instance zones by level bracket like the current BGs. You could go to Wetlands at 70, but the only other players there (if any) would also be in 70 bracket.
And I reckon they should introduce a new BG for every 10 character levels in the game, bringing the total to 7.
They should beef up the rewards too. Yes, the kit is good but the really cool stuff you can get for a level 60 is pointless. I can't imagine ever having the patience to do AV over and over again at 60 to get it. Especially as after 60, Outland green kit is pretty much just as good!
If you like PvP and you're not a uber-keeno who plays 25 hours a day, this game seems a bit weak at times.

You should have tried getting the rewards pre-honor nerf.|||Yeah i was thinking about this at the weekend, as well as just MORE BG's i also thought it could be fun to have novelty BGs
e.g
Retro AV (shredders and all - possibly with a sign as grp option?),
or WSG with a 2min ress timer (Making moving in a pack vital, and make people think about death)
or AB base guarded by npcs at the start?
or more random buffs in areanas (pref in the middle to punish los / pillar hiders)
Any other ideas ? for either new BG's or tweaks you could make to existing ones|||Hmm, a novelty bg that was only playable at certain times might be kinda fun. Maybe every X weeks, or Y days.
That way it wouldn't take away PvPers from the current bgs (the problem with adding more, as I see it), but would provide something new once in a while.|||I could use a little variety in my BG's. Maybe introduce a game that favors solo play a little more, or involves gathering professions. Maybe a fully enclosed mine in a mountain where the horde started digging on one side, the allies on the other and they met in the middle, now they battle in the mine for the resources. Miners have to gather the minerals and run them back to their base. Team members who aren't mining have to protect them. If the miner is killed the enemy can loot his corpse to pick up the minerals he just mined and run them back to their base themselves. NPC's can be running around mining too to help balance teams who don't have a lot of miners.
It would make for an interesting close quarters combat kind of battle with lots of twists and turns in the tunnels. of course the middle would be a more open area with a large concentration of minerals to gather, and the mineral gathered would only be found in the BG so that players couldn't buy or trade pre-existing thorium or something for an easy win. The team who fills the quota of minerals first would win.|||I would love to see a RTS BG...where you don't even play your own character, but have control over NPC's..kind of like bring back multiplayer WC3 and make it into a BG.|||Quote:

lol, or you could just fire up WC3 and get the same effect on battlenet.|||I would love to see an individual Deathmatch Arena type of combat. A FFA of sorts that pits 10 people in one arena. Possibly have certain buffs that increase damage (like the zerker buff in other BGs), so that you can have a sort of King of the Hill match setup.|||I'd love to see the terrain in every BG randomized a bit, more so than simply adding a new BG or two.
If you've ever played this old-school RTS game Age of Empires 1, there was an option to create a map with a random terrain. I can't remember if they had this in Warcraft 2, Warcraft 3, or Starcraft.
If this is too complex, then they could at least have several different layouts for a particular BG and are assigned one when a new BG instance is started. Think of it like how the arenas work now.. there are several "different" arenas that you might be randomly assigned to when you queue up for areans in a capital city.|||Quote:

Sounds like you haven't been playing this game for very long. I don't play that much per day (I don't play for 3-4 days at a time every week because of my job). I still have a lvl 70 and I enjoy the game quite a bit. I think that you will find it very hard right now, but worth it later to level up a bit. I wouldn't worry about PvPing at lower levels until you already have your first 70 and have experienced the rest of the game a little bit. I had a friend who played Bg's for weeks at a time at every bracket (19, 29, 39, etc..) - this was his first character and once he finally hit 60 he realized how much time he wasted PvPing at those brackets. It's fun for sure, and I would definitely go back and make those level characters for the different experience, but get to 70 before you start calling the game weak.
