Farming Honor... Tried and True Methods

For PvPers that "farm" honor, I am interested in hearing about HOW you went about doing it.

When do you "stick it out" in a BG? When do you "bail" out of one?

Honor per Hour -- What is the best way to gain Honor in the various BGs?

Legit, tried and true methods only please.

EDIT: I HATE playing in BGs where your side/faction doesn't do everything it can to WIN. The "lose as quickly as you can" strategies need to stay away too. Thanks again!|||Simple. Whatever the PvP daily is, I do. Beyond that, I'll get into the BG that it is the weekend holiday for, to get double honor. Win or lose, I stick with it, because I think it is stupid, and fundamentally insulting to the rest of your team in that BG not to push to get a victory every game, and to bail on them is like a kick to the crotch.|||There are times its ok to bail....

Like when you have a1-2 hour wait on AV and it opens up for you.

Otherwise...be man and fight it out.|||Unless the 1-2 hour AV pops, I stick around and chase after healers the moment they show up. Follow Xlorep's method. I do this myself and it is quite a reliable way to gain honor, even when AV takes forever to pop out.|||Get 14 other people together and join EotS as a group. <10min games for 188honor. 250honor if it's the EotS weekend.

If you find that there are a lot of other organised/premade groups, have the raid leader queue another battleground when you find you're in a game against another team... This way, you'll bounce between AB and EotS in order to farm a pug rather than spend 30mins against another organised group. note: this method is frowned upon by a lot of people because it messes with the whole system and exploits the casual gamer.|||Even PuG "organzied" groups tend to do pretty well, I've noticed.

So.... when it isn't a particular BG "weekend", what BG would you focus on? (Let's say you can't get into an organized group)

Now... if you CAN get an organized group going (not on a BG weekend), which ones yield the best honor "gain" for the time put forth?|||Sign up for one, then when you get the cue - sign up for two more (usually timed ones for me = AB and EOTS). Then hopefully you'll get a cue in a few mins when you've had time to feel out how the bg is gonna go that you're in. AV used to be the place to farm but now it seems that guild premades and lfg premades for EOTS or AB are the way to go.|||1) Do your daily battleground quest for some money and extra honor points.

2) Just play AV trying to enjoy yourself and thinking that if you don't play for honor points you will suck.|||So.... premades, either guild or PuG, are the way to go, it would seem.

How about when you should really start PvPng on characters? I have a level 53 Enhancement Shaman and am not sure when to start PvPng with him where he won't be "pwned" so badly. Any suggestions?

I don't want to "waste" gaining honor for him and spend points on stuff that he will only replace at 70.|||I started PVPing on my main (a shaman) when he was lvl12. Saved up honor till I got the Insignia of the Horde, then continued saving. When I got the gold for my epic mount I spent the marks on a black war wolf, and continued saving. Once I got to 70 I started buying gear with the honor (sadly, I could only afford 1 piece).

I didn't pvp much, though.
