Hooray for 2.4

I just read the 2.4 patch notes and I am floored! INSTANT HONOUR!

It's about time Blizz did something right. Goodbye 4am honour addition, hello pvp trinkets!|||Yes very good news. I missed out on an item the other night by 2 honour points. :(

They used to do that, but it was three-fold:

You would be awarded additional honor, reputation, AND experience (if you were lower than level 60).

If they were to do the first two again, I would be a happy camper indeed.

I know that they probably won't put in the experience gain part (so that the twink community doesn't freak out!), but, if you base the game mechanics like you would for other fantasy-based games, you gain experience for just about ANYTHING you can do -- especially anything regarding combat.

I'm honestly surprised they don't tick out experience gains like they do honor gains in the battlegrounds.|||I dont see the what the big deal is. What is so hard about watiing until the following morning for your honor?|||No more approximates.

The other day i had 9500 honor. That means I needed another 5000 to get the chest piece I wanted. I did a ton of PvP and saw that I had about 5100 honor. I actually ran two more BGs to get me up to 6000 honor for the day, just in case the approximates worked against me.

When I logged in the next day I had 14800 honor. If I hadnt done those last two BGs I would have not been able to get the item I was working towards. Not working with approximates and getting an immediate return on your work is excellent!|||Quote:

Yes, For Great Honor is back.

To do this quest, you need to turn in 1 battleground mark of *each* type (so 4 marks in total). The first time you do it, you get 12g and 314 honor. After that, you can repeat it as many times as you want, getting 314 honor each time (no gold, though).|||That's good news. I've had more AV marks rot in my mailbox than i've ever spent on items.|||I generally purchase combat potions with excess marks and use them liberally in BGs.

WOW, that is actually f*cking cool. I have max amount of marks saved up for no good reason. This kicks booty if its true.|||This is awesome....encourages playing multiple BG's, I guess no more ignoring WSG except on daily days.
